The US market continues to plunge in June.
Vehiclenews [07.02.2009] The registrations of new vehicles were down of about 28% over a year, to approximately 860,100 units last June on the US market. They were thus down for the ninth consecutive month. Almost all the automakers suffered from this sluggishness, except Subaru who increased its sales by 3.4% last month in the United States. Ford also limited the damages in June. It registered 154,873 units over this period (-10.7%). General Motors and Chrysler saw its sales down respectively 33.4% (176,571 units) and 41.9% (68,297 units). The Japanese Toyota, Nissan and Honda also saw their deliveries down respectively 31.9% (131,654 units), 23.1% (58,298 units) and 29.5% (100,420 units). Their German counterparts are not for the rest. Sales of BMW group were down 20.3% on this market in June, Mercedes -23% and Volkswagen -18%.
